In the winter of 2005 I decided to design and craft an item to compete for the following year?s ?Blacksmith of the Year? title. I decided to incorporate repouss? panels depicting Greek Gods.
I chose three gods: Atlas, Neptune and Venus as they represented the two elements that make up our planet ; earth and sea and the thing that keeps it going, love..
In the show season it was on display at the first three County Shows and was awarded ?Show Champion? at each of these. Unfortunately it was then stolen from my workshop and never found.
Luckily enough at this time I had already achieved enough points to gain the accredited title ?Blacksmith of the Year? for the year 2006.
