Originally designed as a highly detailed door knocker for a competition, this piece truly shows the beauty of the Devon Hedgerow. From the shaped and curved bark grow the wild toadstools which appear smooth and stunningly realistic. Four poppies grow upwards in the centre striving for sunshine from their lowly position, and stretching to either side are two delicate fern leaves. Standing straight backed and proud giving the piece poise and dignity are two foxgloves.
